Brute force
Been spending the last 2 hours since I woke up working on getting my data back. Go figure it seems worst case scenario happened, my storage drive's MFT [b][u]and[/u][/b] MFT backup both got corrupted somehow, so here I am trying to brute force my way back to at least recover my music and picture folders. the rest I can re-download fairly easily.

yea I realized that after I typed it, but didn't care enough to go back and correct it. On the bright side I was able to salvage most of my music and pictures.

I still have to figure out how to get my two raid drives to start working agin so I can get my photos all back... I didn't bother copying them because I needed the space, then the whole computer went kapootski.

What exactly went wrong with the drives? If it's just the MFT being corrupt you could probably use the same program I did to recover my things.

Any time the drives are connected, the computer won't start. And because they're raid drives, you can't use anything but the raid card that they came on, and you can't do it any other way than powering up the computer with the drives connected.

It's probably just the computer I was using, because it's got 9 other hard drive controllers in it.

Dell Poweredge 4200's are finicky.
